Hollywood Immersive currently auditioning for July 2011     Hi Toula, I thought I would send you some info on my HI program scheduled for Los Angeles this July. The program is called Hollywood Immersive and it’s a fantastic opportunity for any aspiring or established actor. Endorsed by AT2 and Eva Mendes - this is not your usual acting program. Hollywood Immersive aims to demystify the transition process between Australia and Los Angeles, as well as help actors get on the right track faster, instead of wasting time and money attempting to figure out where to begin. Eva Mendes is our international ambassador and has this to say about the program: “It is such an honor to be associated with the Hollywood Immersive Program and helping to inspire, educate and connect aspiring young actors from all over the world. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the Hollywood Immersive Program from the very beginning, and hearing about the growth of these participants on their return home, not only as actors but as young people, is truly inspirational.” Whilst in LA the actors meet and study with some of LA’s most prominent coaches and industry professionals. They receive intensive classes on US dialect coaching, improvisation, specialised on camera techniques and audition techniques. A selected number of actors (15 max to ensure everyone is worked with thoroughly) are taken to LA for a 10 day round trip. Headlining the training is Margie Haber, and her fantastic team at the Margie Haber Studios in West Hollywood. Margie has been an acting coach to some wonderfully successful actors, such as Halle Berry, Molly Sims, Heather Locklear and Collin Eggesfield, to name just a few and is considered one of the top 3 coaches in the US. Her audition technique is second to none and invaluable for any actor wanting to step up their game when it comes to learning to live the life of the actor - and book auditions. www.margiehaber.com Hollywood Immersive is also about building confidence and gaining experience outside of the usual “workshop” environment. Although the participants attend structured classes they are also exposed to other aspects of the profession. Hollywood Immersive hosts a networking party where the actors meet and socialise with agents, managers, casting directors and other LA based actors. So much of acting is who you know and how you present outside of an audition, as well as building and maintaining professional relationships. These are skills that we believe will support any actor in Australia or the US and we have had a number of success stories from this networking party alone.
